Tropical Sun Arrowroot is a fine white powder that is extracted from the root of a tropical plant also known as arrowroot. Always mix Tropical Sun Arrowroot with cold water to produce a thin paste before heating it or adding it to hot mixtures. Use 1 tablespoon of Arrowroot instead of 2 tablespoons of flour and directly substitute Arrowroot for cornstarch. It is often used to thicken puddings, sauces,glazes and other cooked foods. Unlike corn starch which tastes chalky if undercooked, arrowroot is tasteless and becomes clear when cooked – ideal therefore when making deserts.
